The Visiting Artist programme at Fire Station occurs twice a year for two months in conjunction with the Artist in Residence programme. This programme aims to create an exchange between the international artists and the local artists participating in the AIR programme through mentorship and critique.

Fire Station invites artists through a nomination process. The programme offers 24-hour access to a private furnished studio, roundtrip ticket and offsite accommodation, monthly living and materials allowance, networking opportunities and interactive sessions with residents participating in other programmes at Fire Station. The visiting artist has the opportunity to engage with the local community through public programmes, such as talks and community workshops, and participation in our open studios' event.

Past Visiting Artists

Past visiting artists at Fire Station include Johanna Boccardo (Venezuela/United States) and Nedim Kufi (Iraq/The Netherlands).
