Marco Bruno and Simone Carena are two architects born and educated in Italy, specialized in California, rooted in South Korea since 2001 and now living and practicing in Qatar.
Together they run MOTOElastico, a Space Lab working on architecture, interiors, exhibition and art projects. In their work they use irony to critically challenge and playfully celebrate local customs and behaviors. Their design process is like the one used by Dub DJs: enhancing rhythms and underlying features of existing songs, with the purpose of generating new yet familiar design tunes.
Marco Bruno and Simone Carena are currently full-time faculty at VCUarts Qatar.
